Dans le cadre de la sauvegarde et de la valorisation culturelle et touristique du site, la fouille programmée de l’enclos monastique a été proposée, portant sur toute la durée d’utilisation du site et recourant à l’ensemble des sources disponibles, textuelles, iconographiques et matérielles. Les études engagées en 2018 ont permis de réaliser un point de situation et d’élaborer, pour 2019, un programme d’étude des vestiges de l’église principale et de la crypte, associant analyse architecturale, prospection géophysique et numérisation des structures du site. | ||

Attached to it was the crypt, a building that specialists of medieval architecture variously dated as being from the 9th to the 11th century. It was in the context of the preservation and the cultural and touristic evaluation of the site that the excavation of the monastic enclosure was proposed, and which intended to examine the entire duration of the site, including the totality of the available textual, iconographic and material sources. The researches undertaken in 2018 made it possible to establish a situation point and to establish for 2019 a programme to study the remaining elements of the principal church and the crypt, combining architectural analysis, geophysical prospection and the numerisation of the site’s structures. | ||
| 520 | |a Die Rettungsgrabungen, die in den 1980er Jahren auf dem Gelände der Abtei Saint-Médard in Soissons durchgeführt wurden, ermöglichten es, die Überreste der Klosterkirche zu identifizieren. Zu dieser Kirche gehörte die Krypta, deren Bau von Architekturhistorikern unterschiedlich datiert wird, in einem Zeitfenster zwischen dem 9. und 11. Jahrhundert. Im Rahmen der Denkmalpflege und im Hinblick auf die kulturelle und touristische Aufwertung der Stätte wurde der Vorschlag einer archäologischen Erschließung der Klosteranlage gemacht, die den gesamten Nutzungszeitraum der Stätte abdeckt und alle verfügbaren Quellen, sowohl textlicher als auch ikonografischer und materieller Natur, berücksichtigt. Die 2018 unternommenen Untersuchungen ermöglichten es, eine Bestandsaufnahme vorzunehmen und für 2019 ein Programm zu erstellen, das die Überreste der Klosterkirche und der Krypta ins Auge fasst. Dieses Programm soll architektonische Analysen, geophysikalische Erkundungen und die digitale Erfassung der Strukturen der Stätte miteinander verbinden. | ||
