| Σύνοψη: | O presente estudo pretende contribuir para uma melhor compreensão do génio do Padre António Vieira, a partir da observação das suas relações com o que foi o seu ‘berço cultural’: a obra espiritual, intelectual e artística da Companhia de Jesus. A espiritualidade da Companhia de Jesus e dos seus Exercícios Espirituais, as relações da Companhia com a Coroa Portuguesa e o papel de Portugal na universalização do cristianismo são alguns dos aspectos focados como espaço natural de germinação de alguns traços geniais do missionário, do pregador e do paladino da Restauração. The present study intends to contribute to a better understanding of Father António Vieira´s genius, having as base the observation of his relationship with his “cultural origins”: the spiritual, intellectual and artistic work of the Society of Jesus. The spirituality of the Society of Jesus and its spiritual exercises, the relationship of the Society with the Portuguese crown and the role of Portugal in the universalization of Christianity are some of the aspects mentioned as natural space of germination of some extraordinary traits of the missionary, preacher and paladin of the Restoration. |
