Σύνοψη: | How is it possible to think of God's mercy in the context of dogmatic theology? Mercy seems to go beyond principles of thinking or perceptions of justice. This article formulates some of the difficulties dogmatic theology encounters when treating of God's mercy. It is not enough to speak of God's self-withdrawal to the profit of humans. One must also take into account God's initiative in shaping history. This, however, leads to a perception of humankind as miserable and in need of mercy, a concept that meets with great resistance in today's world that does not appropriate such concepts grounded in religious belief. |
