Notre hypothèse est que l’intelligence artificielle contribue à préciser le rôle de l’homme dans la création : à la fois intendant, mais aussi « cocréateur », offrant à Dieu, à travers la technologie, de nouvelles possibilités d’acheminer la création vers son accomplissement. Si le Christ est véritablement le but de cet univers, la christologie doit faire place à une forme de salut pour les machines et pour la dimension technologique de l’homme. | ||
| 520 | |a The rapid progress of artificial intelligence suggests the possibility that one day “thinking machines” may emerge that can be assimilated to “artificial persons”. The status of these “persons” in God’s plan for salvation raises the question of the soul and reexamines the human exclusivity as a creation “in the image of God”. Our hypothesis is that artificial intelligence helps to clarify human’s role in creation: as both a steward and a “co-creator”, he can offer God, through technology, new ways to fulfil the creation. If Christ is truly the goal of this universe, Christology must make room for a form of salvation for machines and for the technological dimension of humanity. | ||
