Selon Guglielmo Forni Rosa, l’interprétation immanentiste de Friedrich Engels (1850) et des historiens qui se situent, pour ainsi dire, en amont de son livre, ne correspond pas aux textes que Müntzer nous a laissés et en déforme gravement la nature fondamentalement religieuse. Müntzer s’élève contre ces religieux, papistes ou luthériens, qui ont soustrait l’Écriture au peuple à qui elle était destinée, créant une misère matérielle et spirituelle. La véritable connaissance de Dieu s’obtient lorsque la souffrance, les épreuves, nous rendent semblables au Christ, ce qui permet alors une présence immédiate de Dieu à notre esprit. | ||

The immanentistic interpretation made by Friedrich Engels (1850) and by the historians who inspired him, does not actually match the Writings of Thomas Müntzer and moreover perverts their essential religious disposition. Thomas Müntzer harshly condemns all those clerics - papists or Lutherans - who have deprived the people of the Holy Bible, leaving them in a condition of extreme material and spiritual misery. The true knowledge of God is achieved when we experience suffering and trials like Jesus-Christ’s, a condition which is the realization of God as present immediately to our spirit. | ||
