Rather than seeing religion as propositional belief, we argue for an existential approach that focuses on the question as to what it means to exist religiously. We offer educational and theological arguments for our position and, along both lines, seek to (re)connect religion and religious education to the idea of democracy. | ||
520 | |a In diesem Beitrag untersuchen wir die Beziehung zwischen Religionsunterricht und Öffentlichkeit und schlagen vor, dass sich der Religionsunterricht, wenn er seinen Bildungsauftrag ernst nimmt, an der Öffentlichkeit orientieren muss, in der Menschen in und mit der Welt zusammenleben. Anstatt Religion als propositionalen Glauben zu sehen, plädieren wir für einen existentiellen Ansatz, der sich auf die Frage konzentriert, was es bedeutet, religiös zu existieren. Wir bieten pädagogische und theologische Argumente für unsere Position und versuchen, Religion und Religionsunterricht mit der Idee der Demokratie in beiderlei Richtung (wieder)zu verbinden. | ||
