AB The recently found given name ’kr (on a late pre-exilic Judean seal from Jerusalem) is borrowed from Akkadian and denotes »farmer, ploughman«. Its bearer probably belonged to the palatial sector. Regarding the name Ntnmlk referring to a servant of the king on a bulla from the same place, its second component (Mlk) is theophoric rather than basilophoric.
