Rome and the status of the religious images adopted by the Council of Trent provide yet another key to understand these works. We will focus on the Descend of Christ into Hell (Nadal) and the Fiat Lux (Holanda), to discover the spherical dimension of images as the divine symbol and of the glory of God. | ||
