Love is born, grows and is strengthened by this structural dynamism of spouses : by freely consenting to give themselves, they build an “us” that goes beyond themselves. God comes to coil himself in this mutual, total, definitive gift and his presence is interior to the person of the spouses. With the “gift”, all properties, assets and purposes are presented in a new, consistent and accessible language. This explanation of the essential part of the sacrament attests to the fruitfulness of the doctrine of the gifts of marriage. | ||
