Summary:"This volume presents a revised Greek text and the first English translation of the seven complete homilies that have survived from the pen of Sophronios, the seventh-century patriarch of Jerusalem. The seven surviving sermons were composed for feast days over the course of the Church year. They vary in length, at least in their current form, from a brief three pages for the feast of Saints Peter and Paul to a rather massive thirty-five pages for the Annunciation. In addition to the evidence from two fragments, it is likely that he delivered other sermons during his patriarchate that have not come down to us"--
