总结: | Although the Church in Wales was disestablished in 1920, it retains many of the characteristics of an established church. This paper seeks to explore this fact using Wesley Carr's account of 'high' and 'earthed' establishment. Using these terms, the paper traces the campaign for the disestablishment of the Welsh Church, the legislation by which disestablishment was enacted, and the state of the Church in Wales since disestablishment. Future challenges to the way in which the Church in Wales relates to Welsh society are also explored. |
