| Summary: | Com o advento da pós-modernidade, uma série de mudanças paradigmáticas afetaram o Ocidente. Independente do termo pós-modernidade ter se popularizado nas últimas décadas, as implicações das mudanças ainda surpreendem o imprevidente cenário evangélico. Para o movimento adventista, cujo foco na evangelização constitui um dos traços identitários mais acentuados, a pós-modernidade representa desafios diversos; sobretudo, a problemática implica em qual o tipo de relação adequada se deveria manter com a cultura secular. O presente artigo aborda o contexto pós-moderno, as publicações pioneiras sobre o tema, suas características e espiritualidade. A seguir, analisa-se as eventuais mudanças no adventismo em prol de uma adaptação à pós-modernidade. With the advent of postmodernism, a number of paradigmatic changes affected the West. Even though the term ostmodernism has become popular in recent decades, the implications of those changes still surprise the unwise evangelical scene. To adventist movement, which focus on evangelization is one of the most striking features of identity, postmodernism dissembles various challenges; mainly, the problem entails in which kind of proper relationship should be maintained with the secular culture. The present article considers the postmodern context, the initial publications about them, its characteristics and spirituality. Hereinafter, analyzes the possible changes on adventism on behalf of an adaptation to postmodernism. |
