Description
Summary:This paper focuses on the probable land route between the Faiyum region and Bahariya Oasis during the Pharaonic period. Literary, archaeological and remote sensing data are analysed and discussed in this study. The possible ancient termini of this route are also taken into account in order to shed new light on trade connections in so far scarcely explored sectors of the Egyptian Western Desert.
