Summary:This article reflects on the contribution made by Baptist theologians Wright, Fiddes and Colwell to the role the Lord's Supper plays in forming Baptist churches after the pattern of Christ. It then proposes a number of trajectories that Baptists might explore in developing a fuller theology of the Lord's Supper that allows our identity as a gathered communion to be a more vital part of our witness in the world.
