AB The Episcopal Church's failures in ministry to, with, and among Latinx persons and communities are related to the centuries-long historical and discursive animosity between England and Spain. This serves as a background to understanding today's major challenges with respect to ministry with Latinx persons and communities, which function as hyphenated-ministries: programs or projects of the church. The overt and covert insidious replication of the discourses of the so-called Black Legend continue to play out in the inability of TEC to have a substantial breakthrough in ministry with and among Latinx persons and communities.
