"The year 2020 will mark the fortieth anniversary of the publication of Charles Reagan Wilson's classic study Baptized in Blood: The Religion of the Lost Cause, 1865-1920. Conceived in part to honor this milestone, this multiauthor volume seeks to show how various aspects of Lost Cause ideology persist into the present. Among the contributors to this work are Carolyn Dupont, Sandy Dwayne Martin, Colin Chapell, Keith Harper, and Charles Reagan Wilson himself.
