Dans les épitaphes, en revanche, l’invocation de la securitas est plus précoce, puisqu’elle apparaît au plus tard sous les Flaviens, mais elle n’est pas répandue dans tout l’empire, ce qui attire l’attention sur la variété des habitudes épigraphiques dans l’espace et dans le temps. | ||
| 520 | |a Securitas was a slogan propagated from the time of Augustus by literature and since the reign of Nero by the imperial coinage. In official and monumental inscriptions, it is found only from the time of Commodus onwards, particularly in a Latin inscription from Damascus’ region which was seen (and not well deciphered) by André de Monceaux, a traveller and agent of Colbert. In epitaphs, securitas was mentioned earlier, since it appeared at the latest under the Flavians, but it was not typical of the whole empire: instead, its use draws attention to the variety of epigraphic habits in space and time. | ||
| 520 | |a بدأ نشر شعار الأمان securitas من خلال الأدب منذ عهد أوغسطس (Augustus)ومن خلال العملة الامبراطورية منذ عهد نيرون (Nero) (٥٤-٦٨ للميلاد). لم يُستعمل هذا الشعار في النقوش الرسمية والصرحية قبل عهد كومودوس (Commodus)(١٨٠-١٩٢ للميلاد) لا سيما في كتابة لاتينية وُجدت في محيط دمشق، والتي شوهدت وفككت رموزها على نحو ناقص من قبل السيد أندريه دي مونسو (André de Monceaux)، رحالة مُكلّف من كولبير(Colbert) وزير الملك الفرنسي لويس الرابع عشر، في النصف الثاني من القرن السابع عشر. من ناحية أخرى إستُعمل شعار الأمان securitas في النقوش الجنائزية في وقت سابق، بما أنه يظهر على أبعد تقدير خلال حكم الأسرة الفلافية (Flavii) (٦٩-٩٦ للميلاد)، ولكن ليس منتشراً في جميع أنحاء الإمبراطورية. وهذا الأمر يلفت الانتباه إلى مجموعة متنوعة من العادات في النقوش في المكان والزمان. | ||
