These clarifications will enable us to discuss two transhumanist ideas that evoke Gnosticism: the rejection of the body and the concept of singularity. This analysis will show that, if it is correct to view transhumanism in religious terms, it is difficult to view the movement as a form of Gnosis. Another hypothesis will be outlined in conclusion: transhumanism could be a form of neo-Joachism. | ||
