Summary: | Two unpublished drawings documenting the serpentinite vase RS 26.318, recently identified from the archives of the Syrian-French Archeological Mission of Ras Shamra - Ugarit, led us to re-examine this object, a unicum discovered in 1963 on the tell of Ras Shamra. The study also offers the opportunity to reopen the record of serpentinite, a rock available in the northern Levant, in the Baer-Bassit massif and near Ugarit. |
