Description
Résumé:This paper is about utilizing clients' spirituality as a salient resource towards their own healing and recovery in mental health. The author illustrates this through an encounter with a client who is confronted by an unexpected major life transition and who at the heart of her suffering experiences a spiritual crisis. Through their work together she describes the dimensional approach in her client's recovery, in particular her existential recovery, which extends to spiritual well-being. She concludes by arguing that routinely incorporating an integrative framework that takes into account a mind-body-spirit view of humanity is the responsibility of all clinicians.
