總結:Much research has been directed to the variant readings of the Books of Samuel and Kings, on the one hand, and the Books of Chronicles on the other. One of the outstanding variants of this sort is the absence of the story of David and Bathsheba from Chronicles, which includes only a historical framework account. In the present article, I attempt to show that the presence of the historical framework alone in Chronicles is based on a general tendency in this book to glorify King David. The reason for this tendency is the messianic idea as it developed during the Second Temple Period, the time of the writing of Chronicles, even in the framework account.
