Description
Summary:Spirituality and religiosity are important aspects of an individual's psychology, but little is known about this dimension in people suffering from Asperger syndrome, and research on its relationship with work experience is rare. The main objective of this qualitative study is to report how 12 people with Asperger syndrome perceived their current or past jobs, focusing on the role of spirituality and religiosity, fear of death, and relationships with colleagues. Although a larger percentage of participants are of the opinion that death means absolute annihilation, only a few have faith in a transcendental dimension. However, the highest number of questions was recorded for concerns derived from relational difficulties with colleagues, while concerns regarding spirituality and religiosity were substantially negligible.
