As a result, Ricoeur argued, there is not a "biblical time" but there are different "times" in the Bible. Biblical historiography, which is basically narrative, regularly associates other genres with the narrative. 1-2 Samuel, for example, also contains oracles and poems. The purpose of this article is to study the connection between the literary form of each genre and the kind of temporality it produces. Further, it seeks to assess how these different temporalities contribute to the production of what is presented as the sole historical time. (English) | ||
