These analyses are indeed illuminating in order to understand the very discriminating point between the two thinkers, which consists of the conception of rhetoric, metaphor, and metaphorical traslatio. All that, I suggest, will add clarification to the meaning of Political Theology iii (1979) - that is the last, short wri-ting Blumenberg dedicated to this question. The difference between Blumenberg's point of view and that of C. Schmitt is the adoption and the claim of an irreducibly anti-theological and anthropological foundation of modern knowledge, that renders every secularization thesis meaningless. (English) | ||
