AB In this article, I argue for a public feminist theology informed by pastoral theology and Catholic social teaching. I describe the limitations of a pastoral theology that does not take into account the rich heritage of Catholic social teaching, and likewise describe the rich possibilities of forming selves when Catholic social teaching is understood through a pastorally informed lens. Holding both Catholic social teaching and pastoral theology together enables the building of a public theology that builds power with marginalized peoples.
