Zusammenfassung:In the aftermath of the election of Donald Trump, communities of faith are attempting to help their constituents traverse a transition in the life cycle of the United States. This paper posits two heuristic lenses - the neoliberal age and prophetic soul care - that inform pastoral care practices for communities who are navigating a nation that is wrestling with a proverbial life cycle crisis. Of particular import, this paper is attentive to how pastoral care providers might be responsive not only to the discontent that has arisen in the wake of Trump's election, but also to the discontent that led to it.
