| Summary: | Living together in a multicultural society requires intercultural competences. After a short identifi cation of what «intercultural competence» actually means, the question of the contribution the Christian faith can make to the matter is addressed. The thesis is put forward that the transcultural demand of faith and its message of freedom enable us to acknowledge differences. Religion understood as self-critical awareness can strengthen intercultural competences. |
