In the second article, Ludwig Uhlig studies the largely unexplored anthropological work of Georg Forster. The contribution by Karin Reich focuses on a long-lost essay by Euler, which was rediscovered in 2009. It has been reproduced here in facsimile and subsequently transcribed and analyzed.
