| Résumé: | El artículo presenta una respuesta a algunos estudiosos que critican la concepción escatológica de san Agustín, como es la postura de H. Arendt, M. Nussbaum y G. Wehr quien acusa a san Agustín de haber neutralizado el "eschaton", para presentar posteriormente el carácter netamente teológico del concepto agustiniano de esperanza. Se describe, asimismo el fundamento antropológico de la "actio-contemplatio", en el que la concepción elpídica de san Agustín hunde sus raíces. The article presents, in its first part, a response to some scholars who criticize the eschatological conception of St. Augustine, as is the position of H. Arendt, M. Nussbaum, and G. Wehr who accuses St. Augustine of having neutralized the eschaton, to later present the purely theological character of the Augustinian concept of hope. It also describes the anthropological foundation of the actio-contemplatio, in which Augustine's idea of hope has its roots |
