Descripción
Sumario:This article seeks to analyse some guiding tendencies for the church of the future starting out from the trajectories opened by the Second Vatican Council and taken up again recently by Pope Francis. Even though there are different local situations, some questions are common to the whole of the global church: a conception of leadership not isolated from the ordained ministry; a vision of ministry of the church as service; the role of women in the ecclesial community. Recent years have highlighted two contrasting thrusts: a globalization of the church and at the same time within the church, too, a crisis of globalization (and not only religious) in the form of a return of phenomena of neo-traditionalist reactions, in more than just liturgical matters, which it would be inappropriate to underestimate and consider as fleeting manifestations destined to disappear quickly.
