Description
Résumé:The threat of a 'new world order' planned by a multinational business oligarchy and targeting our lives raises the question whether our planet is not already inhabited by an order that should be followed. By interpreting Gen 1.1-2.4a in terms of one of the indigenous world views from Our America, I shall try to explore this probability in more detail by reading the text in terms of the Guaraní holistic vision, which opens a new perspective of understanding that gives us a glimpse of an order that is innate to the world. In the indigenous view the human being is understood as a part and not the centre of the universe, and Life as an interrelation of all living beings in a convergence leading to union. This is a decolonisation, a shaking off of the anthropocentric and Euro-centric outlook in order to participate in the reinstallation of this newly discovered order of creation, starting from its roots, from the outskirts, from the chaos of the imposed 'New Order'.
