AB In the twenty-first century, a cultural yearning for strength of moral character seems to be asking for what a ladder-climbing spirituality can deliver. Yet, horizontal spirituality offers something perhaps more valuable than character construction, namely, sinners engaged in neighbor-loving and justice-pursuing.
