Riepilogo: | The act of reading is a process of trial and error. Intending to understand a text, one may try to follow some of its keywords using the vocabulary that one is well versed in (Bultmann's "Vorbegriffe"). To recognise his or her errors could be the first step leading to a new understanding. Reading in Buber's treatise the terms "sign", "language", and "meaning", a philologist may recall meanings of the words that don’t fit in this text. This paper traces a process by which a reading from a philological perspective leads to an understanding of a theological conviction. |
