On the other hand Gen 4:1-16 is explicitly included in the novel, as the passage is quoted and discussed. Gen 4:7bβ forms the key for an interpretation of East of Eden. This is an instructive example of the theological consequence of translating ambiguous Hebrew verb forms. | ||
