| Summary: | The relationship between the Wisdom of Ben Sira and the books of the New Testament has aroused only little interest in biblical studies so far. Nevertheless, the Wisdom of Ben Sira has been of importance to many authors of the New Testament. Pure quotations from Ben Sira cannot be found in the New Testament, but several allusions are related to passages of Ben Sira, and sometimes the original intention of Ben Sira’s text has been developed further or even refuted. Connections with the Wisdom of Ben Sira are particularly apparent in the gospels and in the Letter of James. Das Verhältnis zwischen dem Sirachbuch und den neutestamentlichen Schriften hat bislang nur wenig Interesse in der Bibelwissenschaft gefunden. Jedoch ist das Sirachbuch zu mehreren neutestamentlichen Autoren von Bedeutung gewesen. Reine Zitate aus dem Sirachbuch findet man im Neuen Testament nicht, aber zahlreich sind die Anspielungen, die an Sirachstellen anknüpfen, aber manchmal wird die ursprüngliche Intention des Sirachtextes weiterentwickelt oder sogar widerlegt. Berührungspunkte mit dem Sirachbuch sind besonders sichtbar in den Evangelien und im Jakobusbrief. |
