RT Article T1 Le tombeau de Zacharie et Siméon au monument funéraire dit d'Absalom dans la Vallée de Josaphat JF Revue biblique VO 110 IS 3 SP 321 OP 335 A1 Puech, Émile 1941- A2 Zias, Joseph E. LA French YR 2003 UL https://ixtheo.de/Record/1645494500 AB This note publishes a Greek inscription engraved above the entrance door of the Absalom's tomb-memorial in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. The Byzantines changed this funerary monument into the tomb of the High Priest Zachariah, father of John the Baptist and martyr, assimilating him to the priest Zachariah, son of Yehoyada/Barachiah, who was murdered in the temple. They also placed beside him the tomb of the righteous Simeon, a tradition which lasted over a millennium until after the Crusaders' stay in Jerusalem. NO Mit 6 Abbildungen K1 Grab K1 Jerusalem
