Attention is also given to his active role in guiding the provincial community, and also to his significant involvement in provincial and general Chapters. The connections between his patriotism and his fidelity to Don Bosco's charism are then considered. His abilities in the areas of formation, writing and research are briefly examined to complete the picture. The judgements of various superiors and some of his students provide further valuable insights into the contribution made by Hlond's activities to the Salesian Society and to that part of the Europe. This brief extract can certainly be of assistance in a re-evaluation in studies about him, of the importance of his salesian activity, unfortunately often ignored or undervalued. | ||
