First of all, it has to represent the dichotomy between the Jewish communities and the complex surrounding societies in which they have found themselves. Secondly, it often originates as an expression of local Jewish communities. On the other hand, Jewish museums also have to represent Jewish culture in a way that answers to the requirements of contemporary advanced societies. | ||
