| Summary: | In this paper, I propose an approaching to the evangelist function of Luisa of Carvajal and Mendoza's poetic production, through the analysis of one of her poems. In her Redondillas espirituales de Silva we will find how the dialogue between Silva and his shepherd friend establish a conative discourse where the image of the spiritual garden merges with the figure of Christ as the Shepherd. In this transmission of spiritual joy, we can appreciate the preaching wish that ruled over the life of the author, who uses all the mystic topics that she knows for that purpose. En este artículo propongo un acercamiento a la función evangelizadora de la obra literaria de Luisa de Carvajal y Mendoza a través del análisis de uno de sus poemas. En las Redondillas espirituales de Silva, comprobaremos cómo el diálogo entre Silva y su amiga pastora se estructura como un discurso apelativo en el que la imagen del jardín espiritual se funde con la figura de Cristo como pastor. En esta transmisión del gozo espiritual se aprecia la voluntad de predicación que rigió buena parte de la vida de la autora, quien recurre para tal fin a todos los símbolos místicos que están a su alcance. |
