Die Pole des Paradoxen stehen dabei zugleich kontradiktorisch und komplementär zueinander und verweisen letztlich auf ihre eschatologische Einheit, die sich jedoch dem Zugriff der Logik entzieht. Die wesentlichen Paradoxa sind von Christus her Immanenz und Transzendenz, Person und Gemeinschaft sowie Gegenwart und Vollendung des Heils; ebenso bilden sie die Zeichen- und Werkzeughaftigkeit des Sakramentalen ab, was sich in der Anthropologie und Ekklesiologie Lubacs nachweisen lässt. Erkenntnistheoretisch ergibt sich aus der Skizze der Paradoxalität als Sakramentalität das Bewusstsein, dass Sakramentalität eine Art lectio difficilior der Wirklichkeit ist; für eine via sacramentalis als fundamentaltheologische Kirchenbegründung lässt sich eine entsprechende Kriteriologie entwerfen. | ||
| 520 | |a Henri de Lubac’s life was characterized by both his fidelity to and his tensions with the church. Likewise his work exhibits some notably ecclesiological tensions which he refers to as paradoxes. The poles of these paradoxes can be considered as both contradictory and complementary at the same time and relate to an eschatological unity that is beyond the grasp of logic. The main paradoxes depend on Jesus Christ; these can be found in the areas of tension between immanence and transcendence, person and community as well as the present and the fullness of salvation; these portray the character of the sacrament as sign and instrument – a link that can be proved in Lubac’s anthropology and ecclesiology. In epistemology the sketch of paradoxality as sacramentality leads to the awareness that sacramentality is a kind of lectio difficilior of reality; simultaneously it offers a corresponding criteriology for the fundamental theological justification of the church by a so-called via sacramentalis. | ||
