Description
Summary:Taking the term "holiness" as a starting point, here are some reflections aiming to offer readers of O.F. Piazza's essay a general framework in which to situate and understand it, its internal structure, and logic, that unfold thanks to the author's clear style, judicious use of citations, understanding of theology, and, above all, ecclesiology. Piazza's passionate love for the Church runs implicitly through the text, as he tries to discern in the paradox of the historical condition of the "people of God" a key to understanding the "marks" of its holiness, along with those of unity, catholicity, and apostolicity, all included in the Nicene-Constantinopolitan 'creed', the most widely used in the Christian churches.
