At the same time, the y all share certain traits characteristic of Buddhist monasteries throughout northern China. This article has a primarily descriptive aim, as materials on such monasteries are not widely available. I will first introduce and compare the general situation of four monasteries. Secondly, I will provide information on the origins of the monks in the four monasteries and compare the financial and economic situation of the four monasteries. (Inner Asia/NIAS-Han) | ||
