The entire existence of the Church must reflect mercy; all its ministries and activities must reveal the misericordiae vultus Ecclesiae. This study intends to identify many elements of the Church's penal law which manifest clearly its unique character—a character which reflects the merciful face of the Church, which mirrors the merciful countenance of Jesus, who is the misericordiae vultus Patris. | ||
