This article explores the question by presenting Meir Sternberg’s functional definition of narrative in dialogue with SRI’s Narrational texture. After setting out the parameters of the issue in part 1, in part 2 the article presents Sternberg’s functional definition of the narrativity of narrative: the double drama of the concurrent interplay of represented time and representing time. Part 3 offers suggestions for possibly incorporating some aspects of this understanding of narrative in SRI’s analytic approach to ancient, preferably narrative, texts. La «texture narrationnelle» de l’Interprétation socio-rhétorique (ISR) peut-elle être appliquée à des textes non-narratifs? Cet article se penche sur la question en mettant en dialogue la définition fonctionnelle du récit de Meir Sternberg avec la texture narrationnelle de l’ISR. Ayant établi, dans un premier temps, les paramètres de la question, l’article présente dans un deuxième temps la définition fonctionnelle de la narrativité du récit selon Sternberg: le double drame de l’interaction simultanée entre le temps représenté et le temps représentant. La troisième partie offre des suggestions en vue d’introduire dans l’approche analytique de l’ISR de textes anciens — de préférence des textes narratifs — certains aspects de cette conception fonctionnelle du récit. |
