They de-link threats and reverse cycles of decline by cutting links between past evils and future expectations. Such experiences can be understood as religious, and their positive role in conflict and democracy is examined in the language of grace. | ||
| 520 | |a Cet article se base sur la pensée de Lonergan afin de mieux comprendre la démocratie et mettre en valeur les ressources religieuses pour traiter les conflits qui prolifèrent des démocraties. Il commence par un aperçu sur les diverses approches de la démocratie, puis examine le conflit et ses liens avec la démocratie. Enfin, il explore, à partir des idées théologiques, le rôle positif que la religion peut jouer dans la résolution des conflits. L’accent est mis sur les expériences transformatrices qui se produisent dans les conflits. Elles dissocient les menaces et renversent les cycles de déclin en coupant les liens entre les maux passés et les futures attentes. De telles expériences peuvent être comprises comme religieuses et leur rôle positif dans les conflits et la démocratie est examiné selon le langage de la grâce. | ||
