| 520 | |a This article examines how hermeneutical methodology offers the researcher in Christian spirituality a way to understand 'movements of meaning in life' such that the meaning of human existence within the movement of the Divine in the world can be discerned. In order to accomplish this task as it applies to Christian spirituality, hermeneutical methodology pushes the researcher beyond a singular conceptual framework, theological or other, to advance and adjudicate the results of research projects. Furthermore, hermeneutical methodology evaluates the perspective (bias and prejudice) of the researcher as a positive contribution to the research analysis. As such, the article explains why the study of experience as experience – the formal object of study in Christian spirituality – is seen as the door to seeing new and exciting ways that the Divine is active in 'making all things new' (Rev. 21:5). | ||
| 520 | |a Cet article examine comment la méthodologie herméneutique offre au chercheur en spiritualité chrétienne le moyen de comprendre les «mouvements de sens dans la vie», de manière est-ce que le sens de l’existence humaine, au sein du mouvement du Divin dans le monde, puisse être discerné. Pour accomplir cette tâche, telle qu’elle s’applique à la spiritualité chrétienne, la méthodologie herméneutique pousse le chercheur au-delà d’un cadre conceptuel singulier, théologique ou autre, afin d’avancer et de se prononcer sur les résultats des projets de recherche. En outre, la méthodologie évalue la perspective herméneutique (stéréotypes et préjugés) du chercheur comme une contribution positive à l’analyse de la recherche. À ce titre, l’article explique pourquoi l’étude de l’expérience comme expérience – l’objet d’études formel dans la spiritualité chrétienne – est considérée comme une ouverture qui permet de voir de nouvelles et passionnantes façons de l’action du Divin qui «fai[t] toutes choses nouvelles» (Apoc. 21, 5). | ||
