Nombreuses également sont les études qui présentent le contenu de Dei Verbum et la portée de chacun des articles de ce document. Mais que s’est-il passé exactement, depuis un demi-siècle, dans le monde de l’exégèse catholique? Comment et dans quelles directions l’interprétation de la Bible a-t-elle évoluée? Quels sont les défis qui, dans le futur, devront être relevés? Autant de questions qui, d’une certaine manière, permettent de s’interroger et de redire la pertinence du concile Vatican II pour aujourd’hui. | ||
| 520 | |a Voted in the last days that marked the end of the Second Vatican Council, the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation (Dei Verbum) remains a fundamental document from which even today scholars draw rich teachings on the Bible, on its relationship to Tradition, on the place of Scripture in theology, etc. The turbulent history that led to the writing of this document is well established. Also, there are numerous studies that discuss the contents of Dei Verbum and the import of each article contained in it. However, what in effect has happened in the world of Catholic exegesis in the half century since its publication? How and in what ways has the interpretation of the Bible evolved? What challenges need to be addressed in the future? These and other questions offer an opportunity to revisit and reassess the relevance of Vatican II for today. | ||
