Die lateinische Kirche bildet im Schoße der Ecclesia catholica universa eine Ecclesia sui iuris. Wie die anderen orientalischen Kirchen sui iuris leitet sie sich durch eigene Disziplin, ist aber mit ihnen dadurch verbunden, dass ihr Recht von der höchsten Autorität promulgiert ist. Es wird unterschieden in ein universalkirchliches Recht, das Recht der lateinischen und das Recht der orientalischen Kirchen. Gemäß can. 39 CCEO spiegeln die Riten der orientalischen Kirche den einen katholischen Glauben in seiner bewahrenswerten Verschiedenheit wieder | ||
