A few years later I had the opportunity to view the original last will of Luther in the church archives in Budapest, Hungary. In this will Luther expressed great concern that after his death Kaethe, his wife, and their five surviving children remain strong in their faith, and that they be physically cared for. These two discoveries made a deep impression on me, because the notes in his bible and the references to his wife and family in his will showed without a doubt that Luther held Holy Scriptures, marriage, and family in very high regard - almost as sacred sacraments. | ||
