While some understood »not being foreign anymore« as a task to leave behind outdated cultural and social forms of behavior, others interpreted this phrase as a call to mere adjustment and dissolution of the gospel. The article analyses this misunderstanding and shows that »aggiornamento« means facing the experience of the foreign and to assert the demands of the gospel without making the case for a cultural and social backwardness of the church. | ||
